Monochromia Mermaid

Coming from a culture where hair is of major significance and historical context, weaves and wigs in black culture are a big talking point often ending with bristling division of opinion. As a child, I spent hours after swimming in the sea untangling curls full of sand and seaweed, battling split ends from salt and sun. It made me wonder if mermaids had the same problem.
