Chunusi

Chunusi is a giclee print based on an acrylic painting which focused on achieving hair and skin texture with strong, distinct and minimal brush marks. The end result reminds me of the Chunusi folklore of East Africa, the water sirens, the mermaids, the powerful sea current that drowned many.
