Monochromia Witch

Historically, the witch’s broomstick was far from a simple fairytale prop; it emerged out of late medieval Europe as a highly charged symbol. Originally tied to pagan fertility rituals where practitioners would straddle and leap across fields on poles to coax crops into abundance. The broom transformed in the public imagination into a potent emblem of female sexuality, bodily autonomy, and spiritual rebellion against rigid institutional control.
